Brilliant Bradford

Living in the district

Bradford is home to over half a million people, and many of them have roots which extend all over the world.

The result is a melting pot of nationalities, cultures and colourful characters with some incredible stories to tell. In fact, with an open mind you can travel much of the globe without travelling further than the city centre.

However, should you wish to travel further afield, it’s easy to do so. The city is home to extensive rail, road and bus networks and, thanks to the excellent transport infrastructure, many of our staff choose to live in outlying villages and commute into the city. In fact, Zoopla recently named both Bingley and Ilkley, home to many of our employees, among the UK’s top 10 places to live and commute.

Bradford is well served by motorways with the city’s own, the M606, bringing you within 1.5 miles of the city centre and linking with the M1, A1 and M6 via the M62

Bradford Interchange is situated in the city centre where it is well served by National Express, and the city is also home to two central train stations, Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square, which connect into intercity services to London, Manchester and further afield.

There are also local services throughout the district with Ilkley, Shipley, Saltaire, Bingley, Skipton and Keighley all boasting their own stations.

Bradford is also home to Leeds-Bradford International Airport, with flights departing to destinations across the globe.
